Cut the column staves with a hack saw 1/4" longer then the opening, to match the height from ceiling to floor.

Slide the capital and base onto the shaft and securely fasten the capital and base to the the shaft with a screw.

Assemble the column by snapping interlocks together at the corner and slide the last peace into place.
